Cristiano Ronaldo helped Real Madrid to another easy victory as they thrashed minnows Athletic Bilbao by five goals to one.

Real Madrid took the lead early on after they were given a spot kick. Cristiano Ronaldo took the penalty and made no mistake.

Bilbao equalised after some poor Real Madrid defending, but Real came back strongly and put on a show for their home fans.

Goals came from Gonzalo Higuain, Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and Marcelo to wrap up another fantastic victory.

League leaders Barcelona won away at Sevilla by three goals to two which leaves Real Madrid with a tough task on the last day of the season, as they need Valladolid to take points from the Catalan outfit at the Nou Camp. Real Madrid will play Malaga away in their final La Liga match of the campaign.
