Pep Guardiola, Barcelona's young coach, was as ever magnanimous in victory after his side prevailed by two goals to nil against Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid.
Cristiano failed to get on the scoresheet but had tormented the Barcelona defense all game, almost single-handedly as support going forward from his teammates was not up to standard.
Pep Guardiola was quick to acknowledge this and stated, "He’s an enormous talent, very strong. We tried to isolate him and keep him away from the game.
"He’s very dangerous when we have the ball, because they find him very quickly if we lose it and he’s hard to stop then. Just because he’s not scored against us yet doesn’t mean he’s not a very good player."
Real Madrid were without key man Kaka' in yesterday's game, while Barcelona were also missing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, both still suffering from niggling injuries.
