Getafe 2 Real Madrid 4 - Explosive first half display by Los Blancos crushes home side

Cristiano Ronaldo had another fantastic game, scoring two thunderbolts, as Real Madrid destroyed the home side in a first-half goal blitz.

Ronaldo's performance, with all the talk about Lionel Messi being the world's greatest, gave light to a different angle. Cristiano was in the mood to show the world that it would be foolish to ignore him.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the opening goal in the 13th minute. Real were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. Ronaldo stepped up to rocket the ball into the top corner. It was Ronaldo at his brilliant best.

Two more followed in quick succession on the 20th and 23rd minutes respectively, both being scored by Argentine hit-man Gonzalo Higuain. The first was expertly taken. Higuain took a touch as he beared down on the goalkeeper and in a split second unleashed a shot across goal which ended up in the net. His second was also brilliant. He was put through on goal and demonstrated an excellent change of pace, rounding the goalkeeper and slotting the ball in.

Ronaldo scored his second of the game in the 37th minute. On the wing, Cristiano produced his typical step overs, beat the defender and powered the ball into the roof of the net. It was unquestionably a 'golazo'.

Former Real Madrid player Dani Parejo got one back a minute later after Casillas made a blunder, coming out of the area and being dispossessed. The home side then scored another consolation goal in the second half through Leon.

It was a well-deserved three points for Real Madrid and a tremendous man-of-the-match performance from Cristiano Ronaldo as Los Blancos remain top of the league on goal difference.
