Xerez 0 Real Madrid 3 - Cristiano Ronaldo scores two on his return and proves instrumental towards another win

Real Madrid ran out comfortable victors on Saturday against bottom of the league side Xerez, winning the game by three goals to nil.

It took Madrid until the second half to get going, but when the cogs started to turn, they proved devastating.

The opening goal came from the unlikely source of Arbeloa on the 64th minute. After some good interplay, Arbeloa was sent free one-on-one against the goalkeeper. He made no mistake, slotting home cooly from 12 yards out.

Shortly afterwards, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka' combined exceptionally to net the second. Kaka', on the touchline, lofted a superb ball to pick out Ronaldo who headed home on the 69th minute.

This rocked Xerez and they were undone just 2 minutes later. Kaka' had space and outfoxed the goalkeeper who came out to meet him. He turned and set up Cristiano Ronaldo, who had an easy tap in to make the score 3-0. It was a comfortable victory on an unstable pitch, and edges Real Madrid closer to top-spot after Barcelona lost against Atletico Madrid.
