Real Madrid were victorious once again, winning by three goals to nil against Espanyol at the Bernabeu.
Cristiano Ronaldo was missing once again, serving the last of his two match ban. However, he wasn't needed, as Real Madrid cruised to victory, courtesy of goals from Sergio Ramos, Kaka' and Gonzalo Higuain.
The first came from a fantastic Esteban Granero free kick. Granero crossed in the ball with perfect accuracy to find Sergio Ramos who headed into the corner of the net.
The second goal came from summer signing Kaka'. Another brilliant cross set up Raul whose header was expertly saved by Kameni. However, the rebound fell to Kaka', who reacted quick to send the ball into the goal.
The final goal was the best of the night. On the edge of the area, the ball was played to Gonzalo Higuain. His control was sublime and he went on to round goalkeeper Kameni to tap the ball into an open goal.
The next game, which should feature Cristiano Ronaldo, will be away to Xerez on the 13th of February.
