Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a two-match ban according to Marca for his sending off in this weekend's game against Malaga.

Real Madrid have appealed the decision given by La Liga's Competition Committee and will meet again on Thursday to get a final decision. Los Blancos hope the appeal will reduce Cristiano Ronaldo's ban to just one match.

The incident was not regarded as "aggressive" which might have extended the ban to at least 3 matches.
