Real Madrid marched on to victory with relative ease, scoring two goals against Mallorca in La Liga.

Once again, Gonzalo Higuain showed the world why he is such a good player, justifying a first-team start by scoring a terrific individual goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo provided the assist early on in the 8th minute. He whipped the ball across field to find Higuain. The Argentine cut across the defence, and on the edge of the area curled in a bullet of a strike into the top left hand corner of the goal.

Granero provided a second in the 50th minute. Higuain turned provider, crossing a ball towards the far post, which Esteban Granero volleyed home with technical precision.

Ronaldo played his part and caused headaches to the Mallorca backline, but it will not be remembered as his greatest game in a white shirt.
