Barcelona 1 Real Madrid 0 - Zlatan Ibrahimovic condemns Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid to 'El Clasico' defeat

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the scorer of the game's only goal as Real Madrid fell 1-0 in La Liga against arch-rivals Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

The game had been build, as with all 'El Clasico' matches, as the tie of the season, an opportunity to see summer signings Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka' and Ibrahimovic (pictured) competing in the crucial and sometimes La Liga deciding game.

The match took some time to come to life, but it was Real Madrid, thanks to the liveliness of Kaka' and Cristiano Ronaldo who were in the ascendancy. After some fantastic work from Kaka', Cristiano Ronaldo found himself in a great position. Kaka' squared the ball to Ronaldo, with the goal gaping, who was denied only by the fantastic out-stretched palm of Barca stopper Victor Valdes.

Barcelona were visibly rocked and needed a different strategy in the second-period. The introduction of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the early phase of the second half brought the crowd to life, and then the tide turned. Dani Alves delivered an incisive cross, and Ibrahimovic, at the back posted, sent the ball crashing into the net.

Real Madrid surged forward and tried to assert themselves onto the game, but not even Cristiano Ronaldo was able to inspire a different outcome. The two sides will meet again at the Bernabeu on April 11th 2010.
