Real Madrid secured another 3-points in a crucial 1-0 victory against FC Zurich in the Champions League.
The result was always unlikely to be anything other than a Real Madrid victory at the Bernabeu and it was Argentine Gonzalo Higuain who took advantage of a first team start by scoring a sublime, composed goal.
The match was paced at a frenetic pace and there were chances on either end before Higuain broke the deadlock on the 21st minute.
However, what will make headlines was less the result. It was Cristiano Ronaldo's return to first team action since September. Cristiano came on as a late substitute among an adoring home faithful and dazzled and delighted the crowd with his trickery. He was also very close to scoring late on to confirm a strong return from injury.
