Cristiano Ronaldo came off the substitutes bench to score a typically cool and collected goal as Real Madrid won 3-0.

It came as a surprise to many that Ronaldo, Raul and Xabi Alonso all started the game from the bench, but it proved to be a great decision by boss Manuel Pellegrini as Madrid strolled to victory.

Madrid opened the scoring with Esteban Granero, a youngster who is proving to be a valuable addition to the squad. Guti doubled the lead in the second half, and the game ended in style with Ronaldo slotting home his second goal in two games.

The result caps off a fine week for Cristiano Ronaldo as his Portugal side beat Hungary 1-0 in midweek and now Madrid.
