Toronto FC 1 Real Madrid 5 - Cristiano Ronaldo Scores his First Goal in Open Play

Cristiano Ronaldo and his fellow Real Madrid teammates were in buoyant moods in Canada as they defeated Toronto FC by five goals to one in a friendly game.

There was a huge buzz and expectation leading up to the game as Real Madrid announced a line-up including mega-money summer signings Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka' (making his Real Madrid debut) and Karim Benzema.

Madrid's intentions were clear from the outset as they attacked in numbers, Ronaldo and Kaka' causing the defence many headaches. However, it was veteran Raul who stole the show netting two goals in the first half with coolness and collectiveness.

Madrid's second goal was scored by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo. A long ball was played to him and he headed the ball onto Benzema, who returned the pass. Ronaldo masterfully stroked the ball in the corner of the net, making a tricky situation look easy.

Raul later added his second and Madrid's third goal. Cristiano was substituted on the hour mark, but Madrid scored another two goals via Benzema and Arjen Robben, with the hosts scoring a consollation goal.

It was a very good performance from Madrid and Cristiano who look to be clicking, finally. The next game is on Sunday as Madrid travel to the US capital to face DC United.
