Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first Real Madrid goal on Tuesday as his side strolled past Quito in the Peace Cup.
The first half was relatively uneventful with Cristiano struggling to make an impact on the game. However, he burst into life when the second half resumed, and his trickery on the wing saw him beat 3 players to be tumbled and awarded a penalty. Cristiano himself, having won the penalty, stepped up to convert it successfully. His relief was clear as well as his passion for his new club.
Other goals came from Metzelder, Negredo and Metzelder in what was a solid performance from Real Madrid who ended up 4-2 victors.
Their next match is against Juventus in the semi-final tomorrow night.
