Cristiano Ronaldo was finally unveiled as a Real Madrid player on Monday in front of a record-breaking 75,000 fans at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. 

Kaka', Real's other star signing, attracted a huge 50,000 fans for his presentation, a figure that looks meagre compared to the number Ronaldo attracted.

Cristiano was given the number 9 shirt and will now be known as CR9 as opposed to CR7 from his Manchester United days.

Ronaldo was elated at being given such a warm-welcome and promised that he would give his all to his new club and was here to win trophies. Ronaldo's new affinity for his club was expressed with his final words, "Hala Madrid", which had the crowd in raptures.
