Cristiano Ronaldo: I want to become the best ever player for Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken to the Spanish media ahead of his grand unveiling at the Bernabeu on Monday, revealing his expectations as a Madrid player.

Cristiano has never been known for his modesty, and his most recent press conference illustrates his incredible ambition with capital-club Madrid.

Ronaldo admitted that he had run out of motivation at Old Trafford, after winning everything on offer. Speaking to Marca, Ronaldo enthused, “My goal is to become one the best players in the club’s history… or the best.”

Ronaldo expressed his happiness by claiming, “When I completed the transfer, I felt relieved. Now I can say that I have fulfilled my dream.”

Asked about the exorbitant transfer fee approved by Real's president, Ronaldo said, “Florentino Perez has revolutionised the world of football, but I will prove that I am worth what he paid for me. Monday will be the greatest moment of my life.”

Ronaldo's ceremony is expected to be even more fervant than Kaka's earlier this week and he is expected to become CR9 when he takes the number 9 shirt. Finally, he left a message for the people of Madrid, “I am not who they say I am in the gossip magazines and sensationalist media.”
