Cristiano Ronaldo is now a Real Madrid player after signing a 6-year contract with Los Blancos. After Manchester United had agreed to sell Ronaldo two weeks ago, it looked like a formality that the transfer would be completed. However, Cristiano had been on holiday in America and his agent was working to negotiate image rights before pen was finally put to paper.

The deal will be formalised on July 1st, with the unveiling set to take place at the Bernebeu on July 6th. Real Madrid are looking like strong title-contenders with the additions of Raul Albiol, Cristiano Ronaldo and Brazilian international, Kaka'. More reinforcements are also set to arrive as the capital-based club look to reinvent the team.
